Our appointment book allows us to efficiently schedule timely visits for you and your pet. Our team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are dealt with as efficiently as possible, whether that means working you in immediately or referring you to the nearest 24 hour emergency facility. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us and we will assist you in determining the best plan for your pet. If an emergent situation will affect your scheduled appointment, we will do our best to contact and if necessary, reschedule your appointment to avoid any undue waiting time for you & your pet.
We have one veterinarian and staff on duty 4 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle many urgent cares your pet may have. However, some emergencies require a larger staff and 24 hour care to manage, so we may refer you to such a facility after stabilizing your pet. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to contact us for advice. Please call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our team will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our team will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
Because we have only one veterinarian, we primarily care for only companion animals:

BRVC accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
BRVC offers discounted services to pets adopted from shelters. This includes a free first exam and possibly further discounts at Veterinarian's discretion.
